Nevada Fire Department was established in 1972. The Nevada Volunteer Fire Department is a tax-exempt Nonprofit 501(c) 3. Our department is currently composed of about 19 members, many of whom work for other paid fire departments or work for local 911 ambulance services. Our district is composed of approx. 35 square miles that cover the City of Nevada and several square miles of unincorporated Collin County. Nevada Fire Department takes an aggressive approach to firefighting tactics and EMS to better serve the people of our district. Our command staff is made up of The Fire Chief and two Captains. In 2021 our department took the steps to become a state-certified ALS (Advanced Life Support) department. Since making this change Nevada Fire Department now offers the highest level of pre-hospital care to the citizens of Nevada and unincorporated Collin County.
Nevada Volunteer Fire Department is a strong, dependable department that wants to provide nothing but the best quality care to our community.
Ongoing needs include gear, equipment, training, and maintenance for our volunteer firefighters and vehicles.
Thank you for your donation, and thank you for your support.
